Picture of Officer David A. WingerOfficer David A. Winger, badge #83, a 9-year veteran police officer and a 20-year veteran of the United States Marine Corps, died September 8, 2007 at York Hospital. Officer Wingert was diagnosed with cancer in the spring of 2007 and his positive and upbeat approach to this disease has been an inspiration to all of us who had the privilege to know him and work with him. Officer Wingert was 48 years old and is survived by his former wife Joanna, two sons and his fiancee’ Crystal Wiland. Officer Wingert previously served with the Red Lion Borough Police and joined the York Area Regional Police in 2003.
