At approx. 3:23 am on June 20, 2014, York Area Regional Police apprehended three subjects after a foot pursuit who had just committed a burglary of a garage in the 200 block of South Main St. of Red Lion. A fourth subject involved had eluded capture but was later charged as well.
While on routine patrol in the alleys of the 200 block of South Main St. in Red Lion Borough, a York Area Regional officer interrupted the the subjects in the act of committing the burglary of the garage. The subjects fled on foot and officer gave chase on foot. Other York Area Regional officers responded quickly and were able to take two adults and one juvenile into custody. The fourth subject was identified during the subsequent investigation. During the investigation it was determined that these same individuals had also committed several thefts from vehicles in Windsor Borough earlier in the night.
Charged in the case were:
William H. Clayton age 19 of York
Teli D. Smith age 18 of Windsor
Brandon A. Walker age 18 of Windsor
a 16 yr old juvenile from Stewartstown area
